01 The class
Everyone starts together
This is a beginners-only class, which means the person next to you is on their first month too. Nothing is assumed, everything is explained, and you set your own pace.
- Women only — the Sunday 10:00 AM class is closed to everyone else.
- Taught by a female coach — Coach Adalyn runs the class from the warm-up to the last round.
- Ages 14 and up — teens of 14 or older train alongside the adults.
- No experience needed — it is built for people who have never trained anything.
- No gi — leggings or shorts and a t-shirt are all you need.
- One hour, once a week — a commitment you can actually keep.
02 Your coach
Coach Adalyn
Coach Adalyn has been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for six years and has competed extensively in BJJ, earning multiple medals throughout her competition career, including Gold at the Jiu-Jitsu World Championship.
Alongside BJJ, Adalyn is also an accomplished wrestler. She recently earned Gold in the Folkstyle Wrestling division, giving her additional experience in takedowns, grappling, control, and competition.
Adalyn is passionate about helping girls and women develop confidence and skill through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. As a female athlete who has spent years training and competing in grappling, she understands the importance of having a supportive and comfortable environment where women can learn, ask questions, challenge themselves, and grow.
03 First month
What you actually learn
Jiu-jitsu works on leverage and position rather than strength, which is why it suits people who are smaller than whoever they are dealing with. The first month is the foundation the rest of it sits on.
- How to fall and get back up — the first skill taught, and the one you keep forever.
- How to make space when someone heavier is on top of you.
- How to escape the positions you least want to be in.
- How to control from on top, without relying on being stronger.
- A first submission or two, taught slowly and applied with control.
First class free. Then $79 a month.
Founding membership for the new program. Come to the first class before you decide anything.
- Your first class costs nothing and there is nothing to buy beforehand.
- Founding membership is $79 per month for the women’s beginner program.
- Ask us anything first. Call or text (657) 210-1615 and a coach will talk you through it.

None at all. The class is built for complete beginners, so everyone in the room is starting from the same place. You will be taught how to move safely before anything else.
No. This class is no-gi, so leggings or shorts and a t-shirt or rash guard are all you need. There is nothing to buy before your first class.
Yes. The Sunday 10:00 AM class is women only, which is the whole point of it — a room where nobody is starting ahead of you.
The class is for ages 14 and above. If you are 14 or older you are welcome on the mat with the adults. Anyone younger is a better fit for our kids jiu-jitsu program.
